OUR STORY
It started with a trip to Ghana.
There, shea butter was used without distinction. In the food cooked, on the skin cared for. No boundary existed between what one ate and what one applied to oneself; that was just the way it was. The raw material was the raw material.
Back home, we started reading the labels on the products we used in our daily lives.
What we found was not what we expected. Mostly water. Emulsifiers. A lot of substances whose purpose is to simulate a feeling of care rather than actually providing it.
We realized that an entire industry had perfected the art of selling the experience of caring for one's skin, without necessarily doing so.
So we went back to the starting point, the ingredients, and chose instead to create a food-grade product. With ingredients that actually build up and protect the skin. Back to the root before someone came up with the idea of diluting it, repackaging it, and charging for the air in between.
We print everything on the packaging, in plain text, without fine print. It should be readable and understandable.
Apply to damp skin. Moisture makes the skin receptive and fats are absorbed faster.
